Anandpur Sahib was the place where the 10th Sikh Guru, Guru Gobind Singh, baptized five men (Panj Piaras) and founded Khalsa Panth which later transformed itself as the modern day Sikh religion. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) wants to celebrate the 350th-anniversary of Sri Anandpur Sahib in a manner befitting its status in Sikh history.
